Protests erupted after Ethiopian Security hanged a young woman in Kebri Dahar

Ethiopian Special (Liyu) Police executed a young woman in Kebri Dahar, Ogaden region on Friday amid reprisal according to relatives and witnesses.
“Taysir Omar was hanged and killed after her uncle along with other elders filed a complaint against the Ogaden regional head Abdi Mohamoud Omar (Abdi Iley) to the Ethiopian Federal State,” A relative of the deceased told Ogaden Online.
Dozens of people came out to the streets after the incident and Police clashed with the residents of Kebri Dahar, according to eyewitnesses.
Another Protest occurred in Hadhagale in the Shinile Province after Friday prayer.
Tension is very high as the people of the occupied Ogaden are protesting against the Ethiopian human rights violations in the territory.
The Police arrested at least 20 people in Afder after they defied a pro-government demonstrations on Thursday. Among them were women and an 80-year-old man.
