The Ogaden National Liberation Army and
Ethiopian colonialist troops have recently
fought battles in various places in the
Ogaden [all places in southeastern
Ethiopia]. Our Radio Freedom correspondent
in the Ogaden reported that at least 57
colonialist soldiers were killed and 47
others were wounded in four days. The
battles took place as follows:
On 17 May 2008, in a battle that occurred at
a place called Hara Dhamo in Kebri Dehar,
three colonialist soldiers were killed and
six others were wounded. On the same date,
14 colonialist soldiers were killed and nine
others were wounded in fighting that took
place in Nusdariqa .
On 16 May 2008, in a battle that occurred in
Abesale in Duhun, five colonialist soldiers
were killed and six others were wounded.
On 12 May 2008, twenty members of the
sluggish Ethiopian colonialist army were
killed and 15 others were wounded in a tough
battle in Obole.
On 9 May 2008, fifteen colonialist soldiers
were killed and 11 others wounded in a
battle that occurred in Dawa'aley.
