Ethiopian Militias shot dead a mother and two of
her children |
Aug 03,
2008 In the town of Galil which is in
the province of Jarar, the Ethiopian
militias based in the garrison outside the
town are reported to have shot dead a mother
and two of her children. The Ethiopian
militias killed the mother and the two
children after having shot in the home of
the deceased without provocation.
Our reporter in the town is still
investigating this incident and has not yet
succeeded in verifying the names of the
deceased. When our reporter was asked what
could have prompted the unprovoked attack on
the innocent civilians, he reported that a
day earlier the Ethiopians have been soundly
defeated in a fierce battle with the ONLF
army in the outskirts of the town.
It is suspected that the militias that
killed the mother and her two children may
have gone on the rampage as a result of the
defeat encountered in the battle. It is a
habit for the Ethiopian militias to attack
civilians whenever they incur major losses
in the battlefields.
In a related news, the so-called Somali
administration have convened a meeting for
the all the tea Cafes in the city of Dhagax
Buur. It is reported that the objective of
the meeting was to ask for donations from
the tea Café owners. The money being asked
for the Tea Café owners is called as a
national contribution to the security of the
city.
