A press conferenceheld at WSLF headquarters in Mogadishu yesterday [7th July] and attended by foreigndiplomats, press representatives and foreign correspondents based in Mogadishu, wasaddressed by the WSLF Secretary General, Mr Muhammad Diriyeh Urdoh, who made a statement on the clear position of the WSLF with regard to the resolutions on the future of the Western Somali people adopted at the 18th OAU conference held in Nairobi. Various pamphlets were distributed to the delegates attending the press conference including the document presented to the OAU by the WSLF on the political policies guiding the WSLF, a declaration by WSLF youth organizations based in Mogadishu and Hargeisa, and books on the history of Western Somalia. (''Voice of Western Somali and Somali Abo Liberation Fronts'' in Somali 0930 gmt 8 Jul 81) (Text) Heroic WSLF freedom fighters attacked black Abyssinian colonialist troops stationed between (?Ubatale) and Warder on 2nd July, inflicting heavy damage, including the burning of a vehicle and all the soldiers travelling in it. In a surprise attack at (?Busale) on 30th June, WSLF freedom fighters killed 13 Abyssinian soldiers and destroyed two tents being used by the Abyssinian colonialists as ammunition and ration stores.
