On 15th September, the heroic WSLF freedom fighters engaged the black Abyssinian colonialist forces, in Danan [phonetic] town of Gode district. The heroic fighters killed 20 enemy soldiers and wounded [number indistinct] others there. In this bitter clash, while the Mengistu colonialist forces suffered heavy casualties, the heroic WSLF fighters lost one martyr killed and (?three) others wounded. (''Voice of Western Somali and Somali Abo Liberation Fronts'' in Somali 0930 gmt 18 Sep 81) (Text) The heroic WSLF

freedom fighters clashed with the black Abyssinian colonialist soldiers at Bullaleh, in Dagahabur province, on 17th September, killing 25 enemy soldiers and wounding many others. After their mission, the freedom fighters returned safely to base. As they

fled, the routed Abyssinian soldiers came across a civilian vehicle carrying women, elderly people and children and attacked it, killing five people and wounding five others who, however, escaped. The Abyssinian action demonstrates its heinous treatment

of civilian populations. These people were on their way to the liberated areas near Kabradahare.
