On 6th February . . .WSLF liberation forces ambushed and killed 30 Abyssinian black colonialist soldiers at Argheile. . . Two lorries were set on fire in addition to other losses inflicted on the Abyssinians. The WSLF forces suffered no losses. In another clash . . . at Hado in Jijiga region on the 8th [February], the WSLF forces set two Abyssinian lorries on fire, killing all the occupants. The Abyssinians suffered other heavy losses. (0930 gmt 11 Feb 81) In bitter fighting following a surprise attack on soldiers in (?Godane), Jijiga region, gallant freedom fighters killed five Abyssinian soldiers and captured two heavy guns and many other weapons. The Abyssinians suffered heavy losses in terms of men wounded, abandoned weapons and so on.
