   (Text) The Mengistu Haile Mariam regime is now preparing to launch a military campaign in Western Somalia. This was
stated in a report released recently by the office of the WSLF.  The report went on to say that this step, supported by Russia
and Cuba, was designed to torture or destroy the people of Western Somalia and at the same time destroy its liberation forces.
The report also said that in an attack by Abyssinian aircraft on 2nd February a town was destroyed by the bombs; 93 people
were killed and hundreds wounded. The regime is taking such steps because of the intensity of the struggle being waged by the
[people of] Western Somalia to achieve their rights and independence.
