The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), on behalf of the Somali people of Ogaden, extends its heartfelt congratulations to the people of Somalia on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Somalia's independence.
The ONLF urges the people of Somalia to continue to struggle for peace, reconciliation, democracy and rule of law and confront the forces of destruction and the sinister designs of the Ethiopian regime which seeks nothing less then to dominate all aspects of Somali affairs. It is only with the same spirit of patriotism that gave birth to Somalia, that those forces opposed the sovereignty of Somalia can be confronted and defeated.
