Muhammad Abdi, who is the director of the NGOs said that the act of killing of innocent people in Jails was against the human rights and urged Puntland regional administration to renounce it. He further said Puntland administration must implement the basics of human rights. The NGO urged the administration to release unconditionally the other members who are from Ogaden from the jails.
The move comes after Puntland police arrested five youth in the port town of Boosaaso. One of them is reported to have died in the prison. Source close to Puntland Administration and the relatives of the man said the man died after Puntland security forces and Ethiopian secret service tortured
indiscriminately. Family confirmed that he had no previous health problem.
