The Ogaden National Liberation Front in the name of the Somali people in Ogaden congratulates the new president of Somalia, HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. Furthermore, ONLF wishes the new president to succeed in establishing peace, prosperity and an effective government in Somalia that can protect the interests of the Somali Nation.
This is could be a new dawn for the Somali people, since it is the first time since an independent parliament has selected the Somali president in a free and transparent manner in the capital of the nation.
ONLF calls the Somali people to rebuild their country and desist from engaging in any further acts of sectarianism that ravaged Somalia.
ONLF call the international government to support the establishment of an effective government in Somalia and shield the new government from the influences of others.
