On May 7, 2010, members of the Ogaden Youth Network of North America hosted the grassroots campaign titled “Call for Justice in The Ogaden,” at The Harvard Kennedy School of Law.
“The Call for Justice in the Ogaden” is a national campaign established to advocate and bring about change in the Ogaden region; by targeting educational institutions, politicians along with the national media. With presentations and documentary films put together by members of Ogaden Youth Network we are determined to bring forth this conflict and the injustice committed against the people of the Ogaden to the hearts and minds of the American public.
The event was the first in its kind at Harvard University and attracted and overwhelming amount of students, professors and representatives of human right organizations. Representatives from the Save Darfur Coalition, high raking professors at Harvard University and key figures of Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign were all also present and expressed their willingness to take part in the call for justice in the Ogaden.
Two representatives of the Ogaden Youth Network, Mohamed-Amiin Rabi and Abdikareem (Hope-man) addressed the many issues facing the people of Ogaden, presentations included the historical mistreatment of the Ogaden people, along with the current human right abuses taking place. After shedding light to the injustice in the Ogaden. Mr. Mohamed-Amiin and Abdikareem presented the call to action which included.
- The halt of all American Aid to the Ethiopian government, for its crimes in the Ogaden.

- The immediate opening of the Ogaden, for the international media and humanitarian organization.
Lastly, attendees were encouraged to contact their local representatives in order to support legislation in support of justice and peace in the Ogaden.
We encourage Ogaden youth across north America to follow the steps and dedication of Mohamed-Amiin Rabi and Abdikareem Ali who have given voice to the millions of people in the Ogaden that have been silenced by the brutal oppression of the Ethiopian government.
With the call for justice in the Ogaden, the Ogaden Youth Network of North America will continue to inform the American public regarding the injustice our people have endured for decades. once again we encourage Youth across North America to take an active role in this campaign, for the injustice in the Ogaden has gone on for far to long.

As Cali lugyare writes in above “The violation of law and basic rights is done with full impunity. Often it looks like that they do it to prove to the rest of us that, not only that they are above the law, but that they are the law.”
Well as long as America supports the woyane with hundereds of millions of dollars, the true face of America is not Obama; it´s the Arizona racist governor. Of course, this can change; but until it changes, the only word an Ogaden can utter in America is the following:
Don´t cry for me washington!
