E-mail Print PDF

Forty civilians were kidnapped from the town of Galaalshe and Aroy vilage as confirmed by local eyewitnesses. This kidnapping of civilians follows in the footsteps of illegal detentions that have taken place throughout Ogaden in the past couple of years. Reliable sources report that the kidnapped civilians were immediately transported to unknown destination.

The bodies of two man  have been found in the outskirts of the city of Galaalshe showing severe signs of tortured. The deceased men were hanged from trees.

Their names are:

Cabdulaahi Daahir Boodhle
Axmed Cabdi Cumar Axmed Sacad

Locals attribute to the increased mass arrest act as the ‘only’ way the Woyane (Ethiopian) militias could retaliate against the recent heavy military losses they have sustained in the hands of the Ogaden National Liberation Army (ONLA) personnel.

Human rights organizations accuse the Ethiopian soldiers of violating the human rights by harassing the people in the Ogaden region.
