Reports reaching the Ogaden Online service desk from many towns and villages in Ogaden confirm a rape spree that was spearheaded by the Ethiopian Military and its associated militias deployed in Ogaden.
Our local reporters have confirmed one such incident where Ethiopian soldiers gang dozens of young girls. This gruesome incident took place on December 2, 2011.

It is reported that the health of the raped girls are deteriorating since they have almost bled to death due to the injuries caused by the gang rape.
The Ethiopian army personnel, many of whom are infected with AIDS carryout gang rapes not only to intentionally spread the virus but also to instill unparalleled fear into the civilian population especially the nomads in Ogaden.
According to World Health Organization (WHO) report, Ethiopia and especially its army personnel have one of the highest Aids infection rates in the sub-Saharan Africa.
The rape of young girls has now reached epidemic proportions in Ogaden and is becoming the most potent weapon used by the Ethiopian military against the Ogaden civilians.
Civilians living closer to the military garrison where these innocent females are held report the screams of the females day and night as it appears they might be tortured or gang raped.
