Reports reaching the Ogaden Online service desk confirms the illegal arrest of many Women including Nursing Mothers by Ethiopian (Woyane) militias in the village of Xaraarey, which part of Dhuxun District on Nov 21, 2011.
The Nursing Mothers have recently given birth and were nursing their new borns when they were illegally detained and arrested. Many other civilians mostly Women were also arrested. The Names of the civilians arrested by the Ethiopians include:
- Faa'isa Dayib Cumar (She gave birth one day before her arrest)
- Nasteexo Cabdulaahi Gaas (she gave birth 3 month ago)
- Fahan Maxamuud Cabdi
- Dhuux Cabdi Cali Nuur
- Cabdi xakiin Macalin Maxamed
Relatives of the some detained females are said to be wary of the possibility of their female relatives being raped by the Ethiopian militias.
Rape is becoming the most potent weapon used by the Ethiopian military against the Ogaden civilians. Civilians living closer to the military garrison where these innocent females are held report the screams of the females day and night as it appears they might be tortured.
