Recent reports reaching Ogaden Online service desk confirm the shooting death of a 7-year-old boy and middle aged man by the Ethiopian (Woyane) led militia forces in Garigo’an town on Oct 4, 2011.
It has been reported that these shooting took place in broad daylight when the city centre was teaming up with people many minding their own businesses including school children.

These shooting rampages by the Ethiopian Military forces appear to have become the norm. What is new though is the fact that more militia personnel have recently been deployed in Ogaden. These deployments are a result of the recent failure by the Ethiopian army to step outside the major cities for fear of confronting ONLF forces, who have so far had the upper hand in almost every encounter with the demoralized Ethiopian (Woyane) and its associated militia in Ogaden.
Human rights organizations accuse the Ethiopian soldiers of violating the human rights by harassing the people in the Ogaden region
