Reports reaching our service desk from the city of Qabridahare indicate that many transport trucks have been detained and housed under armed guard at the Ethiopian military base in the city. Local eyewitnesses put the number of the transport trucks detained at 20 trucks. All of these trucks were transporting badly needed food supplies. It is reported that the Ethiopian militias who hijacked these civilian trucks claim that they were engaged in contraband.
In related news, it is reported that on July 15, 2011 Ethiopian army based in around Gode detentained up to thirty six civilian transport vehicles most of which were transporting commercial goods in different part of Ogaden cities and towns.Reports add that the detention of these cars was ordered by the Ethiopian militias deployed in and around Godey city. Most of the trucks impounded are kept in the main military garrisons in Godey and Qabridahare.
Ethiopia is committing war Crimes and Genocide in Ogaden while imposin a total commercial trade embargo and aid blockade, including banning of NGOs, Human Rights groups and independent media.
