More extra judicial killings, detentions reported in many parts of Ogaden.

Our reporters throughout Ogaden continue to report extra judicial killing sprees and mass detentions carried out by the Ethiopian military throughout Ogaden. In almost every Ogaden city our reporters detail killings in broad daylight as well as mass detentions of Ogaden civilians.

In one such killing, on July 18, 2010 the Ethiopian military killed two men in the village of Ciraanciro which is near xarshin.

The names of the deceased are:

  1. Cabdi xasan xuseen
  2. Bashiir cali ciise

On the fourteen of July in the village of Maygag, Nogob province, the Ethiopian army and its associated militia arrested many civilians many of whom are girls and mothers, then trasnfered them to a military prison in Fiiq city

The Names of the civilians abducted by the Ethiopians include:

  2. Ayaan muxumed mursal
  3. Amaal cabdi cumar wali 
  4. Faadumo xasan aw cumar
  5. Maxabo ceeg cabdi maahir
  6. Faadumo nuuriye aw cabdi
  7. Cabdi muxumed maahir
  8. Nuurb muxumed maahir
  9. Aamina faarax (She was abducted from Awbakati Village)
  10. Xaliimo Macalin Xasan (She was abducted from Argeegta Village)

Some of the detained in other parts of Ogaden are as follows:

21/7/11 Gabriile also known as Lagahida, Nogob

  1. Shugri Yuusuf
  2. Maxamed Macalin Haajir

Reports of civilian killings and disappearances follow renewed campaigns by the Ethiopian military to pressure civilians specially those who live in the countryside. It is reported that these military personnel shoot those they encounter in the countryside
