Reports reaching the Ogaden Online service desk confirm the continued detentions of hundreds of innocent civilians by the Woyane (Ethiopian army) militias in many vilages and towns throughout Ogaden region. It is reported, and confirmed by both relatives and eyewitnesses, that between the end of June till July 14 2011, the Woyane militias rounded up civilians in and around the following cities and villages, Sagag, Haarcad, Dhuxun, Waylo-laguxidh, Gunagado, Garbo, Dheenta (Near laga Hida), Xudur-Eyle, and Cobosha, all part of Qorahay, Nogob and Jarar Provinces

In a related news, robberies engineered by the Woyane militias (Ethiopian soldiers) continues unabated in many part of the Ogaden. It is reported by highly placed sources that the militia leadership gave the greenlight for the militias to rob civilians to make sure, as the sources put it, that the militias never run out of supplies.
Some of the Woyane sanctioned robberies that our reporters were able to witness or document include the following:
- Afjar Cadceed who was robbed of 2,000 Birrs, then arrested
- Xamdi faysal who was robbed of 10,000 Ethiopian Birr worth goods and Donkey Wagon, then she was taken to Qabridahare prison
- Xamdi Qorane Faarax was also robbed of 9000 Ethiopian Birr worth goods and Donkey Wagon, then arrested.
There is constant fighting between Ethiopian troops and ONLF forces in the Ogaden region. Human rights organizations accuse the Ethiopian soldiers of violating the human rights by harassing the people in the Ogaden region
