The Ethiopian Army has deployed since yesterday helicopter gunships and more than a division of its forces in the Ogaden in a bid to recapture and silence WFP workers liberated by ONLF on May 26 in Galalshe. The Liberation Army is doing its best to ensure that the WFP workers to be placed in safe and secure hands. ONLF has already contacted the UN regarding this matter and is trying to involve ICRC as a neutral observer.
ONLF have taken adequate precautions in order to protect the workers and is requesting the UN to take a firm stand against the Ethiopian government’s attempt to stop the safe handover of the workers.

ONLF always lied by creating seemingly true stories for its propaganda gain. This attempt however appears to have failed before it even started. This Apache helicopter is not owned by the Ethiopian Air Force. What a complete lie.

ONLF must do all afforts to handover the two UN workers safely as they will tell more information to the World when they get out there.At least 1000 well-trained are enough.Ogaden is strategy place for guerilla warfare and no air strike can harm those lives.

We are very happy to see the truth, we are excited to hear the news the two WFP are safe and secure in the hands of ONLF. The world knows your plight, the world is learning the truth about Ogaden. We know the Ethiopian regime stopped all journalists from entering into the Ogade to expose the GENOCIDE going on, the Ethiopian regime also prevented ICRC from entering and assessing the situation, we know all that and more. We know the ONLF is fight for justice and independence for the oppressed people of Somalis.

I'm surprised and disgusted to read the comments of those ill informed supporters of Malez and his campaign of ethnic cleansing. It's humiliation to be part of ogaden this day. No one moment to tell the truth and will never achieve ogaden state in our life time, and our youngsters dying for malnutrition and disease, and we advocate daily to fight with Abyssinia. I am pleased that the world is finally coming to learn about the half a century oppression, persecution and genocide of the ethnic Somali Ogadeni people in their own land which the enemy has occupied illegally since 1948.
We have never been Ethiopians, are not now and never will be as long as the last Ogadeni Somali lives on this earth.
