Ethiopia’s tyrant to give a speech at Columbia University in NY

E-mail Print PDF

Columbia University in New York has invited Ethiopia’s genocidal dictator Meles Zenawi to give a speech on September 22, 2010.

The brutal dictator is asked to give a keynote address “on the topic of Ethiopia and African Leadership.”

The University’s web site says this about Meles:

Under the seasoned governmental leadership of Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, now in his fourth term, and vision of the Tigrai Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) and Ethiopian Peoples Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), Ethiopia has made and continues to make progresses in many areas including in education, transportation, health and energy. – Source

It’s unbelievable that such a description about one of the world’s most vicious, corrupt, incompetent tyrants is posted on a prestigious American university’s web site. Only a hired lobby firm such as DLP Piper can come up with such a lie. The truth is that under Meles Zenawi and his tribal TPLF junta, most Ethiopians not only live in abject poverty, they are also being brutalized and systematically starved.

This invitation is a cruel insult against Ethiopians who are being brutalized by the fascist dictator.

Columbia University may not know who Meles Zenawi really is, so this is a good opportunity for Ethiopians around the world to educate them.

Hello My Ogadeni Brothers,
Isn't that a little bit a paradox for us. I feel it is. The man we hate and dislike being accepted by western people. Don't we need to pause and think what is going on. Don't we need to start thinking "Have I been mislead and holding the wrong picture?" Well it is up to us! These people like in Columbia University have long ago started discovering the human nature and, more than that, the space we are defined in. We should give credit to that! we shouldn't think that they can easily be manipulated! Because they know ! What do you think when your baby boy or girl try to convince you something he or she want to do, but you know that it is something not good for them. Well I feel sometime that we are like those innocent boys and girls. let's listen and try to expand the horizon of our knowledge. The world we are living in is not ours. Tomorrow we are not here. So, why not we use our time reasonably. Meles weather we like it or not has got acceptance. Why? Well like the fathers and mothers know what is good for their children, the westerners also have seen something in him that would be beneficial for the poor people of the Ogadeni brothers and the whole people of Ethiopia. Give credit to their long past and experience. They were like us sometime in the past.

The guy is brilliant, period. And pleas stop being a heater and using words like dictator, tyrant....blah blah blah. I mean what genocide are we talking about?... He definitely has his weakness and has made mistakes like any other leader. We Ethiopian will never stop complaining. STOP COMPLAINING AND GET YOUR COMPLAINING ASS TO WORK AND DO SOMETHING TO BETTER YOURSELVES AND IN TURN BETTER YOUR COUNTRY. And most of the people who constantly complain are those who flee to other countries and asked asylum pretending as if they're politically persecuted or some sort. I HATE THAT. Condemning to a leadership just because ya'll cant get back to your country because of the asylum cases you tied up yourselves with. Its just ridiculous. Stop and think for a moment, is there at least a bit of a change the country is showing? YES! Do you think you could have provided a better leadership and bring the country a better growth and change?...maybe not.

Point is stop complaining!!! Just because one person ruled the country for too long doesn't make him a dictator or anything like that.

Dueces !

He is worse than Hitler
written by Helen Tesfat, September 17, 2010
Denying a genocide is as the same as committing it. Any one who denies the genocide committed by males zinawi and his barbaric soldiers against the people of Ogaden is just like some one who is a holocaust denier. You can always emphasise on Hitler's technological and economic advancement and say that he was brilliant if you don't have a good human heart and do not care the millions that he killed in the concentration camps. Zenawi is worse than hitler this is a fact well known in Ogaden.
