Radio Freedom correspondent in the Ogaden has sent us a report on recent fierce battles there, during which heavy losses were inflicted upon Ethiopian troops. In the battles, most of which took place in major towns in the Ogaden, the heroic fighters of the Ogaden National Liberation Front [ONLF] scored admirable victories, inflicting casualties - including deaths and injuries - and material destruction upon Ethiopian soldiers. Some of the battles are as follows:
On 14 July, in an attack that took place in Hamaro, Nogob province, four enemy soldiers were killed and four others were wounded. Three days later colonial Ethiopian troops stationed in the town came under another heavy attack. Two soldiers were killed and five others were wounded in the attack.
On 26 July, five enemy soldiers were killed and six others were wounded in a battle in Awaro, Jerar province.
On 29 July, five enemy soldiers were killed and eight others were wounded in Rabrabta in Korahey province.
On 29 July, three soldiers were killed in a heavy attack in Gol Libah in Nogob province. On the same date a massive nocturnal attack was carried out against colonial Ethiopian troops stationed in Degeh Bur town. Informed sources in Degeh Bur told us that a large number of Ethiopian soldiers were killed in the attack.
On 30 July, colonial troops stationed in Mara'ato, Korahey province, to slaughter local people were attacked. Three soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded there. On the same date one colonial Ethiopian soldier was killed and two others were wounded in Hiryare, Nogob province. Also on same date colonial Ethiopian soldiers were attacked in Adiley village, Korahey province. Three soldiers were killed and five others were wounded in the attack.
On 31 July, colonial troops stationed in Baka and Bulale, both of them in Jerar province, were attacked. One soldier was killed in Bulale. In Baka, deaths, injuries, and material destruction were inflicted upon them. On the same date four Ethiopian soldiers were killed and five others were wounded at a place called Gabalo, Korahey province.

The idea that ONLF will be defeated is the wishful thought of the callous and murderous regimes of Ethiopia- both past and present.
The ONLF is the vanguard of the longest armed struggle in Africa and the world, which has been fought against by every genocidal regime of expansionist and imperialist Ethiopia. As a brief revisit of history, remember, the predecessors of the TPLF regime met failures in their attempts to subdue the just and noble cause of Ogadenia. Of course, not, the current TPLF thugs will not be an exception. As history has shown, time and again, Ethiopia is doomed to nothing but failure in Ogadenia.

ONLF is the only opposition grop that has made an amazing progress to get rid of the Tigraian parasite that is sucking the hell out of the Abyssinia. Shaebia is the power that toppled the Derg and placed Woyane in power. That is why the Woyanes fear so bad whenever they see a Shaebia look a like power in Somalia, They know ONLF is powerfull enough to root them out of FinFine and send them back to square one, the coutryside of Tigray.

You sound like that is not your way of thinking but the thinking of neighbors, not even Somalia, but Egypt and Shaebia. Of course Westerners and Asians like the divided nations in horn of Africa so that it is easier to extract resource. TPLF actually wants Ogaden to separate by deliberately oppressing the people so that as it happens today the ONLF will pick arms and fight not just against tPLF but also against Ethiopian people. TPLF is doing this deliberately to make Ogadenis not want to be part of Ethiopia. Shaebia's case is another matter where they want more divisions because now they have seen it being isolated with economically advantaged they want others to suffer too. Granted I don't like TPLF either but you keep going back to the past. Apparently you have been brainwashed to think against Ethiopia as a whole.
ONLF, I support your struggle but not based on wrong reasons and to benefit outsiders and enemies within such as Weyane. Work with peace loving diverse Ethiopian opposition groups. As long as you are within sovereignty of Ethiopia, it is every Ethiopians' responsiblilty including you Ogadenis to sit on the table discuss issues no matter what. Work together to get rid of first and foremost anti Ethiopianism. Look at what happened to Somalia, outsiders, including Shaebia and Weyane and traitors fragmented and now became a land without a law. I won't be surprised the peace loving Somalian people can now be easily re colonized indirectly. So divided we fall, united we stand as long as we are within that sovereignty and despite differences, we must struggle together and the question of determination will be the next step.
