The Ethiopian government claim that it had concluded a deal with a large ONLF faction is a self-serving blatant lie intended to mislead the international community. It is not the first time that Ethiopia used this cheap trick concerning agreements with ONLF. In 1995, it used few stooges to promote ‘a faction of ONLF that it claimed to have accepted the constitution and participated in the so called elections’ of that time. Recently, in her usual self-deception, Ethiopia was celebrating for signing peace agreement the defunct former Al-Itihad elements, but that does not change the situation on the ground.The regime in Addis Ababa is so desperate to show that it has reached an agreement with ONLF in order to divert attention from its war crimes in the Ogaden and the daylight robbery of the Ethiopian peoples’ right to democracy and representative governance by stealing the election. Ethiopia, which has disenfranchised its own opposition in the last election by defrauding it, has no intention of a genuine peace talks that will resolve the long-standing conflict between it and the Ogaden people. Many countries and organizations from the international community had on many occasions offered their good offices to try to facilitate genuine negotiations that adhere to international standards between ONLF and Ethiopia, but the intransigence of the Addis Ababa Regime thwarted all those attempts. Instead, the current Regime ruling Ethiopia always opts for sly manoeuvres that are intended to forestall a genuine peace process.
By these theatrical postures, in which the Woyane regime is claiming to have conducted negotiations with a phantom and nonexistent entities, the regime is further alienating any chances of peaceful resolution in the Ogaden. The Ogaden National Liberation Front will continue its armed struggle until the Ogaden people achieve their full rights of freedom and ability to live in peace and prosper.
ONLF have not reached any agreement with the current Ethiopian regime and is not a party to the current so-called peace talks Ethiopian and its agents are spewing in the media. The real stance of ONLF will be proven by the ONLF actions in the political and military battlefields.
Finally, it is the Ethiopian leaders who will one day face the International Criminal Court , who need clemency for their Crimes against Humanity in the Ogaden and other parts of Ethiopia not those who are fighting for their liberty and rights.

KITCHENER (The Record) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi is a repressive dictator who shouldn’t be allowed to visit Canada and participate in the G20 summit this weekend, says an Ethiopian-born Kitchener man.
Semou Zinabou and about 60 local Ethiopians are taking their disdain to the streets and participating in a protest against Zenawi at Queen’s Park in Toronto on Saturday.
“This man has a long record of human rights abuses,’’ said Zinabou. “This is an undemocratic government where people have no freedom, and university professors and journalists are jailed.’’
Having Zenawi attend the G20 is sending a wrong message to Canadians, said Zinabou.
Zenawi, along with Malawi President Bingu Wa Mutharika, who is chair of the African Union, have been invited to attend the two-day summit of finance ministers and bank governors from 19 leading countries and the European Union.
In addition, to protesters from Waterloo Region, the organized rally expects groups from Montreal, Ottawa, Boston and Washington, D.C. to attend the march.
Zinabou, a member of an advocacy group called Unity for Human Rights and Democracy, said the Canadian government, like many of the G8 countries, gives financial aid to Ethiopia.
He said 34 per cent of the country’s budget is being provided by donor countries like Canada. In 2009, Canada provided $138 million in aid to Ethiopia.
But he’s concerned that the money doesn’t go to the local people, but rather lining the coffers of government leaders.
“It’s our tax money and we are giving it to a dictator,’’ said Zinabou, 54, who left Ethiopia in 1980.
He was part of the student movement that the government of the day quashed. He then left his homeland as a political refugee and settled in Germany.
He lived there for nearly 20 years, getting married and having two children. In 2002, Zinabou and his family moved to Canada because they wanted to live in a multicultural country.
International organizations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have said that the Zenawi government has systematically tried to destroy ethnic minorities in Ethiopia and continues to abuse human rights and international law.
Zenawi seized power in an armed takeover in 1991 and since then thousands of Ethiopians have fled the country.
In 2005, during the country’s elections when opposition parties made a strong showing, the government cracked down on protesters and 200 people were shot dead in the streets of the capital city of Addis Ababa.

Observers from the European Union who oversaw the recent elections in May said the Ethiopian government pressured, intimidated and threatened voters.

Mr Hak let me ramind you that Ethiopia invaded Ogadenia in 1930 with support of former British Empire and Italy, since that time Ogaden heroes was fighting against Ethiopian regims and we are still fighting against this murder regime because we are not An ethiopian.it is compulsory to all oagden people to fight against this regime day and night.
Second we are the owners of Ogadenia the world knows and every body knows,so the invaders will go back where they came from not the people of Ogadenia,we know that you kill /rape and force to flee ogaden people dailly inorder to destroy them,and then Melese regime wants to settle our fertile land people from Mekele(Wayane) as you attempted many times, thanks ONLF and its people you did not succeeded that and you will never succeed thanks to god.
If ethiopia is a great nation or not we are less concern what ever it is,it is good for you, we declared many times that we are not among Ethioppia by legally but by force and that is why we are fighting for?
Ogadenia was captured by gun, we tried many times to get back our land by peace full meaning but the Melese regime doesn't know any peacefull process.
It knows gun only and that is why we took guns untill we get back our freedom from this butcher regime and his ragtag militias.
