Ethiopian military continues to arrest Ogaden civilians

Reports reaching the Ogaden Online service desk confirm an increasing trend of new extra judicial killings, severe forms of torture and lootings of civilian property by the Ethiopian (Woyane) militias throughout Ogaden.


In the latest incident of torture and arrest, the (Ethiopian) Woyane militias are reported to have arrested and severely tortured many Ogaden civilians between March 5th -14th, 2010 in various cities in Ogaden. So far the names below, not the complete list, were received from our reporters on the ground and individuals who requested anonymity, as they are not authorized to divulge such information to the public:

  2. Cabdiwaxid Ismacil: Guunagado, Jarar
  3. Shukri Maxamuud Guuled: Guunagado, Jarar
  4. Ruqiya Dahir Khaliif: Guunagado, Jarar
  5. Mawliid Cabdi Xasan: Yoocaale, Jarar
  6. Maxamed Cabdullahi Sanbul: Yoocaale, Jarar
  7. Baddel Yusuf Dubad: Yoocaale, Jarar
  8. Xasan Cabdi Sayd: No one knows where he is bout Buuri, Nogob,
  9. Maxamed Macalin Khaahin: Garawo, Jarar
  10. Haybis Muse Ibrahim: Garawo, Jarar
