ONLF has safely transfered the two WFP staff to UN representatives

E-mail Print PDF

The Ogaden National Liberation front has transferred the two WFP staff members to WFP representatives near the border of Somalia on June 27 2011. For almost a month the Ethiopian Army and security forces has set up many obstacles in order to stop all attempts by ONLF to hand over the two staff members. In order to save-guard the well-being of the workers, ONLF has decided to handover the two workers outside Ethiopia.

In a desperate bid to thwart the safe hand over of the staff members to the UN by the Ogaden National liberation Army, the Ethiopian army restricted the movement of the UN mission designated to deal with the situation, while mounting many attacks that were successfully  repulsed.  The details of those battles and others that occurred in June will be released in subsequent military communiqué.

ONLF is aware that the families of the two workers are under the scrutiny of the Ethiopian security forces who may pressure the WFP staff members to avoid blaming the Ethiopian Army.

What you have written is a disgrace to all Ogadens in the country and in abroad. You have killed an innocent driver who was doing his job to feed his family; you have destroyed a UN car, which was doing nothing but to support starving ogadens.

Now after discovering your terrorist act had lost all the sympathies for any Ogaden cause, you have freed the other innocent staffs not in Ethiopia, but in Somaliland, because you couldn't even hold them in Ethiopia. This has nothing to do with Ogaden cause, you have done so much to tarnish the reputation of any cause we may have.

I have supported ONLF for may years, but your inept and thuggish operations in the region has made the whole idea of Ogaden Liberation front a laughing stock and a joke. Get a grip, because if you continue with your desperate thuggish operations, Ogadens in the Somali region will be reduced to a minority clan in the next few years...... this is so because they will either parish through hunger and violence in your hands and in the hands of merciless Ethiopians.

The world beleive Ethiopia whe they say onlf kill the wfp world food program drivers. england was the first country that condems onlf . but they knew the truth but they were haiding it. so now since onlf hand over the drivers from the ethiopian captivity from jail and hand them over to the UN now is time the world to beleive the truth and help the hopless people. how can the UN claime they represent the world comunity when there is genocide in ogaden in the 21 centry. only god knows better.

As I know No Body Will Blame Ethiopia, So No Need To Mention What Ethiopia Will Do To Protect Itself,
