Lately, there has been a concerted effort on the part of the Woyane regime in Addis Ababa to initiate a propaganda war in the Diaspora. The main message of this propaganda is that the regime has finally accepted that the solution to the Ogaden conflict is through a negotiated solution; and that the regime has signed ‘peace treaties’ with an Al Qaeda affiliated group known as Al Itihad Al Islam, but which has changed its name to the United Western Somali Liberation Front (UWSLF) and a one man group that purports to represent the ‘Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF).’

We, the Ogaden Editorial Board (OEB) could not agree more that the Ogaden conflict can only be resolved through a negotiated settlement. However, such settlement can not come from a one dimensional process where the Woyane is the judge, the jury and the executioner as we see in this propaganda. Also such a negotiated settlement must come from the genuine stakeholders and the party, for example that represents the will of the Ogaden citizenry. It can not come from Woyane actors, failed religious fanatics in search of a safe landing spot and or from a man with neither an army neither a following nor a standing within the Ogaden Somali community.

OEB understands that a desperate regime, one whose staged comedy in the name of holding democratic elections has failed horrendously to convince the West of its legitimacy, would leave no stone unturned in finding a different message that it could sell to its Western donors. However, we never knew that this regime would be devoid of any creative ideas to the level where it has now deployed even a Woyane general to recruit the Diaspora in spreading this childish propaganda. Will the Diaspora be duped by this genuinely sounding yet childish Woyane propaganda?

Only the Ogaden Diaspora can put this Woyane propaganda to its rightful place: in the trash bins of their adopted countries. To do so, the Diaspora would need to either put up or shut up. The Diaspora would have to intelligently confront the heads of the Ogaden Somali traitors such as Cabdifatax Sh. Cabdullahi, an individual who is personally responsible for the massacre in Jig Jiga of over 50 men from his own clan, Abdiraxman Khalif Dhicis – an ex-Somali general, and Omar Hashi, a man who could not even support his family in Canada.

All these three individuals have one thing in common: none of them can stand with any credibility in front of their own people, from the places, Jig Jiga and Canada, where they now reside to spread such a message. The people of Jig Jiga are most in need of hearing Abdifatax’s so-called message ‘of a newly found peace and prosperity’ in Ogaden. Yet, he is not preaching this message there, but to a Diaspora who do understand what it means to have a real peace and prosperity.

Mr. Dhicis and his sidekick are in the same boat as well. The information we have is that the best they could do while in Toronto was to hijack a Khat chewing session held in the basement of a government subsidized housing complex to speak of this ‘new found peace.’ Is it not telling that they had to travel to Minnesota to spread the Woyane propaganda? Kudos to the Diaspora in Toronto and its environs!

To confront the Woyane propaganda spearheaded by individuals of Abdifatax’s ilk, the Diaspora, especially those in the USA, would need to first and foremost put its efforts into lodging a criminal complaint against Abdifatax for his active role in the Ogaden genocide. Some of the relatives of the 50 men he is personally responsible for their massacres are in the USA. Many of the relatives of the Ogaden genocide are also not only in the USA, but many are US citizens. Through the use of the United State’s legal process, the Ogaden Somali Diaspora in the US should make sure that Abdifatah does not leave the USA.

Demonstrating against a meeting held by a war criminal such as Abdifatah is a good start, but not enough. He should answer to a criminal complaint. While criminal complaints of this nature can be lodged with any authority, the most effective one and the one with experience in such matters is that of the District of Columbia. The Diaspora should lodge its criminal complaints there as soon as possible. An alternative could also be to lodge such criminal complaints with the legal authorities in every city he is planning to visit while in the USA. The Diaspora should use the existence of the criminal complaint against this alien as a way to prevent his efforts on behalf of his Woyane masters from receiving a permit to hold any meetings anywhere in the USA.

The Ogaden Somali Diaspora will also need to mount a public relations campaign to inform their Western governments about the Woyane deception. The Diaspora should challenge the granting of any visas to Woyane militiamen to come to the West to spread their falsehoods. OEB inherently believes that no Western tax payer should neither bankroll nor subsidize the police protection demanded by the fantasy gatherings that are held by the Woyane war criminals and their Ogaden Somali minions.
