March 16, 2006 The Ogaden
National Liberation front chairman, his
honourable Adm. Mohamed Osman requested
from the Ogaden Somali people to be
vigilant of the new strategies currently
being implemented at home and abroad by
the Ethiopian occupational forces, in
order to continue their divide and rule.
Honourable Mohamed Osman said that
they, the Ethiopian occupational forces,
were sustaining heavy casualties on the
battle field inflicted on them by the ONLF army which in turn resulted in the
generation of low morale within the
army's rank and file. This low morale
resulted in the neglect of the army's
manpower to carry out assigned
occupational duties within our homeland.
The ONLF chairman added that "the
Ethiopian regime in Addis is tirelessly
forced to
come up with new methods and means to
defeat the on going people's struggle to
win over their freedom". But he assured
them, that they, the Ogaden Somali
people, are able to see the success of
their struggle and are witnessing at
first hand that this regime is in its
final days.
He added that "the Ogaden Somali people
are well aware of the past tactics used
by
this regime to pin one another for the
only purpose of placing hinders to their
on going struggle and brutalizing them
both physically and emotionally with an
unmanageable force consisting of
torture, rape, and indiscriminative
killings".
Today he said, "The Ogaden Somali people
are feeling the jubilation of at last
being free and the fact that they will
achieve their long sought after desire
to free themselves and that of their
country from the Ethiopian military
occupation very soon".
He advised them to remain patient and
vigilant about the ever-changing tactics
deployed by this dying regime in Addis
who's living on a borrowed time.
